18 October, 2011 was an important day for Proplate. On this day, we held a scholarship ceremony at the Dalian University of Technology, marking our debut as a scholarship sponsor.
Some 20 students attended the ceremony, hosted by Mr. Rui Yang, Associated Professor from the Institute of Modern Manufacturing Technology of DUT. Also invited to this special occasion were Mr. Chong Liu, Dean of the Institute of Modern Manufacturing and Ph.D. Xin Wang, Associate Professor of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering.
Scholarships a great way to encourage crane designers
The purpose of establishing a scholarship is to encourage more talents to become the future crane designers or professionals in related areas. As is well-known, China’s market is huge – but seriously lacking in outstanding expertise and advanced technology. Proplate as a manufacturer specialized in cutting is willing to make contributions to enable more local designers to emerge and play a vital role in the near future.
5 students awarded with scholarships
Mr. Joe Huang, Developing Manager in China, introduced Proplate and played the Proplate movie, which is a good way to quickly convey who we are and what we do. Mr. Dag Kryzaniak was excited to give a short speech to share his thoughts and feelings on the matter. Mr. Kryzaniak was later honoured to present the scholarship certificates and a gift to the 5 awarded students.
Several students remained after the closing of the ceremony, eager to learn more about Proplate. Both Mr. Huang and Mr. Kryzaniak engaged in an improvised conversation with DUT, ending the day on a pleasant and friendly note.
